Welcome to the Henry County Arts Council web site, located in The Armory Arts & Events Center in downtown Napoleon, Ohio

The Henry County Arts Council inspires, enriches, and enables the Arts in our community.

Board meetings are held the first Tuesday of the month at 5:30, most times at the Armory Arts and Events Center; feel free to call to be sure.

The Arts Council offers opportunities to people of all ages to become involved in the arts. We strive to offer a variety of art classes for both children and adults. Early exposure to the arts helps children become more creative and think more independently. Studies show that children who participate in artistic expression at an early age reap cognitive benefits well into adulthood. An artistic background encourages children to perceive the world from a more unique perspective.

Our gallery, housed in the lower level of The Armory Arts & Event Center, offers artists the opportunity to showcase their work in a high traffic venue.

We realize the impact artistic expression has on individuals and our goal is to serve the community by giving everyone an opportunity to enjoy the benefits of creating and participating in artistic endeavors.

The Henry County Arts Council is seeking an Executive Director with strong administration skills who can work in a busy environment. Part time, 15-20 hours, weekdays. Flexible scheduling. Some evening and weekend hours may be required. Duties include but are not limited to, answering phones, collecting bills, updating Facebook and web site, advertising events and classes, confirming classes with instructors, pursuing renewal and recruitment of members, helping to create meeting agendas.
